Crash On I-95 Ties Up Traffic For Miles In Virginia

The inclement weather plaguing the region led to several crashes throughout Virginia that backed up traffic for miles in some areas.

As of 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday morning, crews were working to clear up a crash on I-95 in Spotsylvania near mile marker 120, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The multi-vehicle crash left the right southbound lane and shoulder temporarily closed while crews investigated and the involved vehicles were towed from the area.

Traffic was held up approximately three miles, officials said. The crash remains under investigation.
